Smoking isn’t a pleasant habit in the slightest, but unfortunately it’s what we call an addiction. If you can’t get away from it you’ll find that, although there are women that smoke, it’s not as widely accepted as it used to be. Women don’t want to be kissing ashtrays when they’re thinking that the time has come for a romantic moonlit kiss. While you’re trying to quit your addiction (or keep it around, we don’t judge) you can do some things that will help you stop that stank form leaving your mouth.
“Take some mints to fight your bad breath”
Mints and gum are always the go-to thing for smokers when it comes to covering up the smoky smell. But really all that that’s going to do is make it smell like you use menthols. Have you ever walked into a bathroom where someone just shit so hard that the paint is peeling off of the walls? Then they try to spray some air freshener over it like that’s supposed to help. Essentially you end up with explosive diarrhea mixed in with a garden of lilac. It doesn’t smell good; it just throws some sweet smell over something bad. We’re not saying your breath is shit, we are saying you’re almost making it worst by covering it with mint. But at least you’re trying.
Brush Your Teeth
It might not sound like the most practical way to get rid of smoker’s breath, but it’s the most affective. Bring one of those travel tooth brushes and toothpaste with you. You can throw them in your glove box or pocket or whatever. Then you can bust it out after smoking to get rid of the funk. The best part is that once you’re done brushing your teeth you can lay the smooches on her whenever you want without having to worry if your gum is still covering up the smell.
“Eating celery will help you fight smoker’s breath”
Yeah, you didn’t think that this unhealthy habit would force you into a healthier one, did you? Celery, for some reason, seems to absorb smoker’s breath. It might be because of the high water content in the veggie, but it’s really good at it. Keep some around as a snack and munch on it before you go in for the romantic kiss. Just try to make sure none of those stringy bits end up in her mouth too.
If you can’t bring some toothpaste with you, then get a travel sized version of some mouthwash. It does the same sort of thing, but doesn’t cover up quite as well as the paste. Use it every time you smoke and, if possible, brush with it. Then she’ll never even know what you’ve got going on in there.
We’re not telling you what to do, you’re a grown man, but if you’re seriously worried about a woman being put off by your smoker’s breath then you should try to kick the habit. It’s not easy, but even cutting down on the amount of cigarettes that you smoke can help with the breath issue.
